CNC Machinist
DUTIES:
Set up CNC Machine & turning centres.
Swing shift 6:00-14:30 & 14:30-23:00.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years experience.
Office Assistant / Receptionist
DUTIES:
Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
Receive and forward telephone calls and other eletronic enquiries.
Sort process and verify applications, receipts and shipping/expediting.
Send and receive messages.
Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Good Oral skills, Speak, Read & Write English. Be able to type 41-60 wpm.
Be able to use Windows, Word processing software, MS Excel.
Be able to work in fast paced environment, with tight deadlines.
A continuous learner, who can work well with others.
Production Control
DUTIES:
To work closely with engineering, inside sales, programmers and machinists.
To see jobs thru the shop, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience in a machine shop environment, preferably a machinist with basic computer experience.
Must be calm and methodical. This is a fast paced job with many people asking questions.
Design / Inside Sales
DUTIES:
Design and upkeep of old and new product lines.
Producing manufacturing and parts drawings.
Answering "phone in" orders as well as job quoting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant must be a self starter and able to work on his or her own.
They must be methodical and possess knowledge in most of the following:
Hydraulics
SolidWorks
Machine shop practice
Have good phone skills
Quality Control Personnel
DUTIES:
Setup and manage an ISO9000 quality control programme.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have working experience in a shop with ISO9000.
Experience with specialized measuring tools (CMM, projection, tool setters etc.) an asset.
Applicant must be able to read mechanical machining drawings.
Cutting Tool Specialist
DUTIES:
In charge of organizing and maintaining all cutting tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be an experienced machinist; preferably with a jobbing shop background.
Applicant must be very knowledgeable with cutting tools.
Applicant must be very meticulous and proud of their work.
This is an ideal position for a machinist who is tired of standing in front a machine all day.
** Full time position, but will consider a part time position to the right candidate. **
Manual Large Lathe Operator
DUTIES:
Primarily machining of large barrels and rods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have a minimum of ten years experience on manual lathes.
Costing / Pricing Clerk
DUTIES:
To establish job costs and pricing of standard components.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be familiar with machine shop practice.
Must have basic computer skills.
Shop Helper
DUTIES:
General shop help including cleaning and boxing of parts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Some sort of shop experience will be an asset but is not required.
Must be a self starter, able to work on his/her own and be a hard worker.
